Let me tell you a little story about Amizon.com. I went looking for an Amizon store once. I got in my van and drove all over town, but I couldn't find it. I asked a guy if he ever saw Amizon.com, but he said "no, get lost". So I got back in my van and took to the interstate. Most big stores are along the interstate and I thought a store with the name Amizon would be huge. Big stores are along interstates for a couple reasons, I think. Most people live around large interstates and Amizon would want lots of customers so I figured they'd put the store there. Also, the big trucks that come and go delivering all the stuff to Amizon would benefit from the store being right there along the interstate. So I searched high and low along the interstate for an Amizon. If it was so big, I thought, I couldn't miss it. Right?
Hold on mister! I never found Amizon. Turns out Amizon.com is a "Cyber store". Sure, Amizon.com has real warehouses and real workers and stuff like that, but you and I can't go there to shop. What gives? I want to shop at Amizon.com. How do I do it?
First you have to buy a computer. The best place to get one is at Amizon, but that would be tough to do without a computer so it's kind of a paradox, or something. So go out and get a computer at a "real" store other than Amizon. Don't forget the end goal though. It's to shop at Amizon and spend all your money there Amizon makes it real easy with their one click shopping and other features.
Step two to shopping at Amizon: Get an internet connection. For this you need a phone line and what's called a modem inside your computer. Hopefully the computer you bought at a store other than Amizon came with a built in modem or you now have to go out and get one. Your computer probably came with a little icon that says AOL or MSN. Click one of those, it doesn't really matter which. They will both charge you money to get on the internet so you can shop at Amizon.
Do what they say.
Click one of the Amizon.com banners at the top of this page. Shop til you drop. Amizon will charge one of your credit cards and they'll ship your merchandise to the address you desire. Be careful if it's an address that's different thatn the address on you credit card. That might screw things up and it will take a few more days to get your stuff. But if you work you'll probably want to use that address because who is at home when UPS or FedEx delivers? Best thing to do is call your credit card company before you start shopping at Amizon.com and have them add a shipping address so it doens't confuse the fine folks at Amizon.com's customer relations department.
Open the box. Throw away all the packing and the box, preferable in a recycling bin, but who has those? There's problably some plastic wrap around your new stuff. Throw that away in the plastic bin. Put you new stuff in your car and drive it home to your happy family.
If you don't want it you can always return it to Amizon. But don't expect to go there and return it. You'll never find it.
